This fly-in safari will take you to the second largest canyon in the world, to the oldest desert in the world, to the small coastal town of Swakopmund, to the beautiful landscapes of Damaraland and the world renowned Etosha National park within 9 days and 8 nights.
Day 1: Windhoek – Fish River Canyon
Your fly-in safari will start in Windhoek and will take you to the far south of Namibia to the Fish River Canyon. This canyon is the second largest in the world. On a guided drive to the canyon you will have the opportunity to experience this canyon from different viewpoints.
Overnight Canon Lodge – D/B/B
Day 2: Fish River Canyon – Sossusvlei Surrounding
This day’s flight will give you the experience of the vast distances of landscapes of Namibia and the Namib Desert. The rest of the day you will have at leisure.
Overnight at Namib Naukluft Lodge – D/B/B
Day 3: Sossusvlei Excursion – Swakopmund
Day 4: Swakopmund
This morning you will be taken on a guided drive into the Namib Desert and experience the fauna and flora of the barren land. You will witness that it is a living desert. With a bit of luck you will have the chance to see one of the endemics of the Namib Desert – the Namaqua Chameleon. You will be back in Swakopmund by lunch time. The afternoon is at leisure. Stroll through the streets of Swakopmund and view some of Namibia’s precious stones and crystals at the Crystal Gallery, visit the Swakopmund museum or go shopping in the city centre.
Overnight at the Hansa Hotel – B/B
Day 5: Swakopmund – Damaraland
Today’s flight will take you inland to the bizarre landscapes of Damaraland. If the weather permits you’ll fly along a part of the Skeleton Coast.
Overnight at Etendeka Mountain Camp – Full Board and scheduled activities
Day 6: Damaraland
Day 7: Damaraland – Etosha National Park
Your flight will take you to the eastern boarder of the Etosha National Park. On a guided afternoon drive into the Etosha National Park you will get to know Africa’s wild animals.
Overnight at Mushara Lodge – D/B/B
Day 8: Etosha National Park
Day 9: Etosha National Park – Windhoek
After a hearty breakfast you will leave Mushara Lodge and fly via the central highland towards the capital of Namibia – Windhoek.
Here your safari ends.
Depending on your flight schedule you will be transferred directly to the International Airport for your international flight or you will be taken to Windhoek.
