Namibia’s North - The Black Korhaan

Discover northern Namibia in 12 days! You will be surprised by the rich diversity of Namibia’s fauna and flora, the extraordinary geological phenomena’s, the historic monuments and ancient art of the local people.

Day 1: Airport – Windhoek (D)

Your guide will greet you on arrival at Windhoek International Airport and you will be transferred to Windhoek. Time permitting we will go on a city tour and explore the most popular landmarks. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Windhoek – Frans Indongo Lodge (B/D)

Waterberg Plateau

The first leg of our journey will lead us north of Otjiwarongo. During the afternoon you can join an optional tour on the farm.

Day 3: Frans Indongo Lodge – Etosha National Park (B/D)

We depart for the Etosha National Park after breakfast and drive via Otjiwarongo, Otavi and Tsumeb, a mining town, to the eastern part of the Etosha National Park. On your first game drive you will get to know some of the abundant wildlife Namibia has to offer.

We spend the day with game-viewing in the Etosha National Park.

Day 5: Etosha National Park (B/D)

Enjoy some more game-viewing whilst driving toward the western part of the park. Accommodation is outside the park on the southern boundary.

Day 6: Etosha National Park – Twyfelfontein (B/D)

We leave the Etosha National Park after breakfast and continue our tour via Outjo and Khorixas to Twyfelfontein. En route we can stop at the Petrified Forest for a visit. set.

Day 7: Twyfelfontein

Seals

Today we then explore the vicinity of Twyfelfontein with its rock engravings and paintings, the Organ pipes and the Burt Mountain which looks as if the mountain is on fire with the sun shining on it.

Day 8: Twyfelfontein – Swakopmund (B/D)

After breakfast we leave the Damaraland and drive towards the coastal town of Swakopmund via Uis and the fishers’ town Henties Bay. We will pass the Brandberg en route, which is the highest mountain in Namibia. We will use the opportunity to visit one of Africa’s biggest seal colonies at Cape Cross north of Henties Bay.

Day 9: Swakopmund (B/D)

In the morning we will go on a boat cruise on the Walvis Bay lagoon just 35 km south of Swakopmund to explore the marine life and having fresh oysters with sparkling wine. During the afternoon you may enjoy the day by either having a stroll along the beach, visit the Crystal Gallery exhibiting many of Namibia’s precious stones and crystals, the Swakopmund museum or go shopping in the city centre.

Day 10: Swakopmund – Eningu Clayhouse Lodge (B/D)

Kalahari landscape

Today we will drive to the Kalahari Desert. Travel back to Windhoek via the little towns Usakos, Karibib and Okahandja. From Windhoek we continue the journey towards the east nearby Nina.

Day 11: EnDay 11: Eningu Clayhouse Lodge (B/D)

Explore the beauty of the Kalahari Desert by undertaking walks in the surrounding or relax at the lodge to end the tour quietly.

Day 12: Eningu Clayhouse Lodge – Airport (B)

Depart from the Eningu Clayhouse Lodge to the Windhoek Airport for your flight home.
